Classic Dawson

Here's another thought provoking comment from my dear Dawson.

He said this after he came downstairs from going to the bathroom.

"Mom, did you know sometimes my pee is yellow and sometimes it clear."
"Isn't that funny how it changes."

I think I need a blog of just Dawson sayings. I could probably sell copies of that one.

I'll flip for you!

I got Tyler one of those pull-up bars for Christmas. It just hooks onto a door frame and tada there you go. Instant chin-ups. We'll having a gymnast in our house has given the bar a whole new purpose.
First, she held onto it and instantly started busting out the chin ups. 1-2-3-4. She kept going and going. There was no stopping my super strength 10 yr old.
Then, she stood on the back of a step stool and would leap onto the bar as if it were the uneven bars at the gym. This scared me a little because of the fact that the bar just rests on the door frame. But, it was secure enough for her to do this several times. So she kept at it.
Then came the inevitable flips. Now keep in mind there is very little room between the top of the bar and the door frame, but she managed to squeeze herself between the space and do her tricks.
Here are some pics of my 'at home gymnast'.

 Doesn't this just scare you.

Notice the little space between the bar and door frame.

Look at those pointed toes.
Xander got in on the act too!

Toe Touch

Do your ears hang low, can you touch them with your toes?
What, you can't. Mackenzie can.

Or can you do this?

Strummin' My Guitar

We decided to get a family gift this Christmas. We wouldn't have normally gotten this but, it was on sale 1/2 price and we had a gift card. So the deal was too good to pass up. Here is Mackenzie strummin' away on the Guitar Hero.

The kids love it.

They played all day until mommy said enough is enough.
Notice the concentration on her face.

Once There Was a Snowman Family.

We had a great random burst of snow earlier in the week of Christmas. And since the kids were off of school for Christmas break, they took advantage of the day and went out to play.
You'll notice 2 of my children are still in their pj's. They refused to get dressed. So I let them go out and learn the hard way that it was cold.
I was inside taking care of Sawyer. He was being a cranky butt cause it was nap time. After I got him asleep I went out to check on the kids and I found an entire snowman family. Here is the kiddo's little family.

Xander and his snowman.

Dawson wasn't happy when I told him he needed to come in and get warmed up.
Notice he's one still in pj's. And see how small his hat is. He wouldn't put a different one on
Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman.
Once there was a snowman.Tall, tall, tall.

It's a penguin/snowman

Don't you love it's 'hair'.

She's the other one still in pj's.

My boys having fun in the snow.

After their fun, I finally got them to come in and warm up with some hot chocolate and marshmallows.
The next day it rained and the little family melted away. Don't worry, they'll be back again some day.

Merry Christmas 2010

I can't believe another Christmas has come and gone. We had a wonderful holiday here at the Keith house hold. Here are some pics of our Christmas holiday.

Here the kids are on Christmas Eve sprinkling reindeer food out so the reindeer can find out house.

Christmas morning, waiting to come down the steps to see what Santa brought.

Santa must have thought Kenzie was really good. He brought her a new bike.
Sawyer thought the bike should be for him.

The boys checking out Dawson's new scooter.

Xander loves his new remote control 4-wheeler
Dawson and his new elephant!

From our house to yours, we hope you had a very Merry Christmas.

Love the Keith's.

I Think I Can.

My little dude has conquered the stairs. He is a pro at climbing. It's kinda scary to see his little self make it all the way up our flight of stairs. He's fearless.

On his way up.
Look at the determination on his face.

He's almost there.

He made it!!

Kenzie took some pics of Sawyer making his way up the stairs. I told her next time to please stay behind him instead of in front of him at the top of the stairs taking pictures. It scared me a little I must admit.

Cookies or Maybe Not.

I think we're going to start a new tradition this year. Everyone leaves cookies for Santa. I know he'll have an abundance at my sister's house. I too mentioned to my kids that we need to make cookies to leave out for Santa. Dawson, being the clever little kid that he is instantly pipes up, "We don't need to make cookies, let's leave Santa a bowl of cereal."
Now that sounded like a good idea.
My other children didn't agree. Kenzie brought up the idea that the cereal would be soggy by the time Santa got here. I told them we could leave the milk in a glass. Then she said, "But it would be warm." I told her I'd leave it in the fridge. She then was worried if Santa could get it. To which I replied, "If he can break into my house to leave presents, then he can open my fridge to get milk." Xander bursts into laughter and says, "then we can call the police and catch Santa." To which Dawson replies, "No, I love Santa cause Jesus says to love everyone."
So I guess at this point we are still up in the air whether to do cookies or cereal.
I guess time or lack of time will tell.
One thing I do know for sure is that there is never a shortage of time to remember those we love and to make the most of every moment we have been blessed with.

My Helpers

I am thankful for my little men

Dawson and Sawyer helping with the dishwasher.

 Funny boys.
This is Dawson's 'Voldemort' face.
Sawyer loves the fridge. He thinks it's so fun to crawl over to it and climb onto the bottom part.

My sweet littlest boys.
They sure make my day.

Attack!

Beware where you lay or you could find yourself instantly surrounded by a 16 lbs. mini-man, drooling, growling, licking, crawling baby. He will attack from any angle. He will find you. No one is safe. Beware those with a camera, his senses will lock in on you and you will become his next target.
I love this little man and when he 'attacks' it's the most fun ever.

Sawyer found the bucket of bread flour.
He found the camera

Even Dawson's foot wasn't safe.

He's trying to get the camera again.

Attack of Xander!

Guess what he spied again. Mommy and the camera.
He got me.

Beware, no one is safe.
