It's So Hard To Say Good-Bye

Sunday was the bitter sweet day. It was another day to play with family but, it was also the last day to play. We went to church with Missy's family in Rigby before the rest of the family gathered once again for dinner and fun at Missy's house.
Here are a few pics of my family from Sunday before we left.

Sawyer decided he wanted to eat a hamburger the size of his head.

Another Day In Idaho.

Welcome to Saturday in Idaho.
Kate's fam and mine woke up after our exhausting day at Yellowstone ready to pack up and clean out the stuff at the house in Driggs. We were meeting up with the rest of the family at Kate's home in Rexburg for more fun and dinner.
While we girls worked on dinner the men decided to play with their balls. Golf balls that is.
They headed over to the driving range to hit a bucket of balls. I guess Ty hit more than that. He got a hit off that hit the guy driving the golf cart around collecting balls.
When the guys got home it was water play time.

I brought up squirt guns and bubbles for all the kids. What kid doesn't love a good squirt gun fight? That goes for kids of all ages because the grown up boys got in on the action too.

Xan-Man having a blast!

Kenz didn't appreciate the face shot.

We start them off young in this family.
It's the blond squad.
Don't mess with the younger generation of squirt gun masters.

The 2 oldest of the cousins.

Here are a few more shots of all wet fun.
Eli is having a blast with a sprinkler on the trampoline.

Trinity celebrating a good shot.

With all the water fun done it was time to go in for some yummy dinner.

Growing Up!

I interrupt my regularly scheduled vacation blogs to bring breaking news.

Mackenzie has now taken one more step closer to young womanhood.
She shaved her legs for the first time.

My baby is growing up way too fast. sniff, sniff, tear.

Yellowstone

On Friday, Kate's family joined us on a day trip through Yellowstone National Park.
Ty had never been to Y. Stone so wanted to make sure we got there as a family on one of our many trips up to Idaho. Since we had so much time off this was the perfect Idaho trip to head up to the park. We started off with a nice trip to the lake. I could have spent a couple hours there. I definitely think the kids could have too.
Heading down to the lake.

Monkey see. Monkey do.

Playing in the water.

Such a little man by a great big lake.

Xander grabbed his goggles and decided he wanted a closer look into the water.

Kenz and dad.

My 2 youngest dudes.

Sawyer is eyeing up the water and trying it out.

He made it all the way in.

Brothers!
After the lake we headed over to see the ever most popular, Old Faithful.
The best part was finding a parking spot back by the staff cabins and walking 50 feet to the place we watched Old Faithful erupt. Added bonus we only had to wait about 5 minutes.

The kids waiting.
Calin, Xander, Kenzie, Dawson, and Naiya.

This is how Sawyer watched Old Faithful.
Fast asleep.

Old Faithful.

Still asleep.
(Can you see the truck in the back left of the pic. That's Darin's truck. Not a bad parking spot.)

As we left Old Faithful this big guy was right on the side of the road.

The Painted Pots.

The kids taking a break.

Dawson

Sawyer.

Beautiful scenery.

Us.

A spouting horn and a mud pot.

Do I look a little hot.
That's cause it was.

We stopped to watch this big herd of buffalo cross the river.
It was really cool to watch.

Firehole Falls.

At the end of the day we stopped to watch a couple more buffalo.
The dust in the back ground is from a pair of bison sparring.

The end of Yellowstone.
