Pool Time.

My good friend Tara called me up and informed me I needed to relax and forget all the stuff I had to do and that I was going to hang out with her at the pool. OK. she asked me to join her and I couldn't resist hanging out with her for a day. Plus the kids needed a day out too. Here are the munchkins playing the day away.

Kenz playing in the tube.
Yes, Xander is going down the slide with the tube on.

Dawson got out of the water
for a little snack break.
Kenz helping Sawyer Um, swim?

That's Xander is the corner.

I guess Sawyer wants back in the water.

Kenzie and Xander having a blast.

Buzzzzz

Imagine my shock when Tyler turns me on Saturday night and says, "why don't you buzz my hair." Talk about one extreme to another. First he sports longer hair with a sexy ponytail. Then out of the blue he decides to cut his hair. And now it's buzzed off. This is the first time in 12 yrs that I have ever seen him buzzed. I like it. And it was a whole lot cheaper than going to a salon.
I decided that since Ty was getting buzzed and I already had my clippers out, might as well do Sawyer too. So, I attempted to give little dude his first real hair cut. He was not too cooperative. Ty held him while I buzzed him. My only hesitation was that buzzing it off would cut all the red off. I love his strawberry blond hair. So I did a #3. Just to keep it a little longer.
Here's the hair loss journey.

He has no idea whats about to come.
The before shot.

Here we go.

Yep, cooperation didn't last long.

I promise no Sawyer was harmed during the buzzing of the hair.

Almost done.

Yeah! Look how handsome.

The buzzed boys.

Sawyer's hair and some dark hair of daddy's.

Clean Little Dude

Sawyer had a nice bubble bath.
But as soon as the camera came out he thought he needed to come out too.

So, no cute bubble covered little dude.
Instead just a wet baby trying to climb out of the tub to get to the camera.

Drummer Boy

Sawyer picked up these drum sticks at Todd and Renee's house during our 4th of July celebrations and was a instant star. He even rocked out with rhythm.
Look the determination on his little face.
We may have just discovered his talent.

He moved onto the wood floor and discovered a new drumming sound.

How do you cool off?

My boys were outside playing in the 90 degree heat and came in super hot. Luckily, here in Utah we don't get much humidity when we do get it. Back home I remember going outside in 90 degree heat with 80% humidity. MISERABLE!
Anyway, when my boys came in Dawson said, "I'm so hot." Then he preceded to grab a big blanket. I asked what he was doing and responded, "Getting cool."

Here's a pic of my boys cooling down.

They put the blanket over them and then hovered over the vent as the air conditioner blew cold air out.

Silly pics

I love the wonderful random things my family does. Lately I've found that the camera is constantly clicking in my house. And the pictures that are captured are memories that will last forever.
I hope you enjoy my family's randomness.

Here's Ty after a long hard day of work.

Dawson came downstairs and said, "Look mom, I'm a plane flyer."
Aka a pilot.

2 of my handsome boys.

Dawson said, "This milk gives me strong muscles."
Side note; the scout shirt he has on was Tyler's when he was a cub scout.

How cute is this kid!

This boy melts my heart.

Wiped out after a long, hard day at play.

Sawyer was eating a muffin and as I was snapping this picture
he decided to stick his tongue out at me.

Kenz stole a handful of chips and tried to run away before I could get her pic.

He finally smiled for me and look what his sister does behind him.

Sparks in the Dark.

We decided to celebrate a little early this year. We let the kids do sparklers a few days early because they were begging us to do them. Here's some fun pics of that night.

Sparkler fun.

You're never too old for sparklers.

What a happy little man.

Sawyer didn't get a sparkler. He got a glow stick.

Xander and Dawson played 'Harry Potter' and cast spells on each other.

Making light in the night.

Kenz writing out words.

Happy Birthday America!

Here's how we spent our Independence Day.
Family, food and fun.

Xander is ready for the fireworks to start.

Dawson playing with sparklers.

Watching fireworks.

Cousins and best of friends.

Fun for the boys.
