#1

Who's #1? Kenzie's #1! What is she #1 in? Gymnastics!

We went to Kenzie's Legacy Center gymnastics awards tonight. Kenz got the award for "Highest Scorer". It turns out, Kenzie scored the highest of all the girls this past competition season. Whooo Hooo!

Oh wait, it gets better. Then another couch says Kenz scored highest this past season in all the competition levels. Oh wow, you might be thinking.

And yet another coach then smiles and says, Mackenzie has the highest score of all the girls, in all the levels, in the history of Legacy Center gymnastics!

My little girl holds a record for the Legacy Center. Who's a proud momma!!!

Watch out Olympics Kenzie is on her way.

Kids say it; in spanish too.

Here's a funny little story from my favorite little Dawson and Xander.
We were leaving church on Sunday and as our ward leaves a Spanish ward is changing classes. We're walking through the hallway and members of the Spanish ward are speaking Spanish to each other; Dawson looks up and begins to say "Ola; that means hello" He kept repeating it over and over to each person we passed. Then I listened to Xander as he proceeded to say,"Como Estas. How are you?"
The sweet members of the other ward just smiled and laughed. A few even replied back to the boys in spanish. Their (my boys)response; "adios"!

Dawson story:
He and I were looking at pictures I put on the computer and he exclaimed;
"Sawyer has lazer eyes!" Lazer eyes- aka- red eye.

Sawyer Turns 2...months

My baby is 2 months already. Wasn't I just blogging about his 2 week check-up?! Well, this check-up was easy-peasy. He weighed in at a whopping 10lbs 8oz. (28%) Not so whopping, I know. He measured in at 22in. (18%) And his tiny head was 15.2 cm. (23%)
The doc commented on Sawyer's alertness and focus. He said he was "taking in everything around him." Which is true. There's always excitement around here. And he's not missing a beat. And to top the exam off, Sawyer performed and gave a few coos and a smile. Then a big burp. That's my boy!
I know I've said this before, but I feel so blessed to have Sawyer as part of our family. We would not be complete without him. He lights up my day and always brings a smile to my face. I think Heavenly Father knew that baby #4 needed to be a good baby, especially because he was another boy! ;)
Here are a few Sawyer's milestones:
Started to coo and smile. Follows his siblings around (with his eyes). Sleeps 6-8hrs straight. He loves music and watching the lights on the TV. Imagination Movers get his attention as does Phineas and Ferb.
He still gets mixed opinions on who he looks like. Guess he's a perfect blend of all his siblings. But, one thing that's different, is the tint of red in his hair. I don't think he'll keep it because it's more a red-brown, but it's so cute. And his smile will melt your heart. He's been 'smirking' since 6weeks. Seems early I know, but that shows what a happy baby he is. He is well loved in this family. Sometimes overly. :)
He is a perfect addition to our family and I am glad to have him.
I love you Sawyer!

Dirty Post.

We took the kids up American Fork Canyon for family picnic. We roasted hotdogs, went hiking, and had some good ol' down and dirty fun. Here is the end result of my boys after the fun.

My kiddos.

Here's an up-dated picture of all my kiddos.
Hope you enjoy!

Summer Games in Cedar City.

Kenzie's gymnastics team had the opportunity to participate in the Utah Summer Games held down in Cedar City.
This competition was Mackenzie's best performance yet! She scored some of her highest scores to date. For the award ceremony usually the gymnasts aren't awarded individual place medals. But at this one they did.

Kenz took 5th place for her vault. She earned the bronze medal for her floor routine. She took home silver medals for both her beam routine and bars. In the All-Around scoring she placed second, earning her another silver medal.

However, for our gym she placed first in the all-around scores. We were very proud parents. Tyler was able to go with us to this meet and he kept commenting on how good she was. And on she was scoring '9's' in every event. It was yet again emotional for me as I watched her step onto the podium and receive her medals. If she makes it to the Olympics like she wants, I am going to be a mess.

We video taped her routines, watch for those to come soon. But for now enjoy the pics.

Base Ball

Xander wanted a blog all about him. SO I asked him if he wanted a base ball pic blog. He said, "yeah that would be cool."
So here is Xander during one of his baseball games.

Sawyer's Blessing Day.

We give this infant a name and a blessing. And the name which he'll be known as is; Sawyer Kenneth Keith. Tyler blessed Sawyer on Sunday June 6th. The blessing was beautiful. He blessed him strength through challenging times and to turn towards his Father in Heaven for help and guidance. In the blessing Ty commented on what sweet spirit Sawyer was and how blessed our family is to have him. He is truly a blessing. I can't imagine our family without him. Heaven Father definitely knew we needed this little 'surprise' in our family. He has blessed our lives so fully in the short 2 months he's been with us. I don't think I've smiled so much in a long time. And I sure haven't acted so 'babyish' in a while. It's funny how a baby can make an adult forget words and turn their language into sound effects and ramblings. It's even better to see Tyler speak 'baby' talk. I smile just as wide when I listen to him interact with newborns.

Between you and I, Sawyer has his daddy wrapped around his little finger. He is a daddy's boy. As soon as Ty gets home from work, Sawyer looks at him with his big blue eyes and Ty's sucked right in. He'll take him and coo and smile and then Sawyer will coo back! :) I love being married to such a gentle man who is good with babies.

After the blessing, we all headed back to our house for lunch and mingling. The weather finally warmed up enough and stopped raining for a weekend and it happened to be this weekend! So we all sat outside under the shade of our tree, ate our lunches and watched the kids run around playing. Aunt Missy made Sawyer a special cake for his big day. Thanks Aunt Missy, it was beautiful and yummy.

After lunch everyone from Idaho had to leave to go back home.

Ty and I then sat back and sighed a huge sigh of relief. Our weekend was over and now we could have life return to normal. But then again, what is normal. At least back to normal for us.

Thank you to everyone that could share this wonderful day with us.

Kenzie, my big helper.

Mackenzie has been the biggest help since having Sawyer. I need to give this little 'mommy' credit. If I didn't have her, I don't know how I would survive. Not only because she's willing to help with anything I need help with ,but also because she's my girl. My only girl. I am so thankful to have been blessed with her amid all this testosterone.
I feel so blessed to be her mother and to watch her grow into such a beautiful a little lady. Her smile lights up my day and her off-the-wall comments make me laugh.
One thing is for sure, she loves her littlest brother. And to tell you the truth, I think she's a close second to being his favorite. Next to me of course.

Here's my little mom at work!

Notice in the bottom pic, they have the same cute little nose.

Who's in Charge?

I thought you'd all get a kick out of Dawson's most recent comment.

When told, "Ask your mom, she's in charge" or "Your mom's the boss".
Dawson simply replies

She's not the boss, Jesus is the boss. I do what he says!
