Here is my Little Honest Abe.

Abraham Lincoln didn't grow a beard until after he was already elected President. A young girl named Grace Bedell, wrote him a letter saying that no other president had a beard and that he should grow one. She thought he might look better with 'whiskers' because his face was so thin. Abe worried if 'whiskers' would be appropriate and that people would think he was conceited if he grew one. 

But, he took her idea and arrived in Washington D.C. with a new beard.
