Did You See My Pumpkin Drop?

As the month of October came to a close and during the last days of Hee Haw Farms Tyler and I took the kids down to have another fun filled experience. The kids went on pony rides, shot the corn cannon, went down the giant slide, petted the animals, went on the hey ride, rode the animal train and rode in a crane.
What rode in a crane!!! That's right. The day we went the farm was sponsoring a giant pumpkin drop. They bring in a crane with a cage attached to it. Then, the crane operator lifted up giant pumpkins and dropped them from 150 feet up. Pumpkins hit old cars, a pool filled with water, a teeter totter with laptops on either end. It was a pumpkin smashing extravaganza. The kids loved it.
After the giant pumpkins were done people were allowed to pay $2.00 choose a pumpkin and be lifted up in the cage and drop their own pumpkins. We all decided 'Let's Do It!' All the kids (except Sawyer) picked their pumpkin and waited our turn.
Tyler had to pick a big pumpkin of his own. His weighed 105lbs. SHOW OFF!
Once loaded, we were raised up and that's when the tears began. It turns out Kenz has a fear of heights. As we went higher and higher she squeezing on my hand got tighter and tighter. She kept saying over and over, "that's high enough. Make it stop. I want off. Why did you make me do this."
I promise you, she was not forced to drop a pumpkin. She chose to. Guess it sounded like a good idea on solid ground.
Once the crane came to a stop the pumpkins started flying. Ty actually hit one of the lap tops. Mine just splatted on the ground. Kenz held onto me while I kicked hers off the edge. Dawson and Xander both tossed theirs over but, didn't look over the edge to see it land.
After the drop we played a little longer and I started working. Ty took the kids home for dinner and came back later that night to pick me up. When he came to get me I talked him into a little date and we went walked through the haunted forest/corn maze. I screamed and ran and was a scaredy cat. Then I giggled like a giddy school girl. It was so much fun.
